For coaches who use AI

Your AI assistant, with its hands on your coaching business.

Verve ships a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. Connect Claude, Cursor or any MCP-capable agent and it can read your athletes, calendars and library, then schedule sessions, assign programmes, invite athletes and draft messages — always as you, with nothing sent until you approve it.

Three athletes have gone quiet: Sam, Priya and Jonah. Sam had two runs scheduled and completed neither, and you last messaged him on Tuesday. Here's a draft for Sam:

"Hey Sam — noticed the week's been quiet. Anything getting in the way of Thursday's tempo? Happy to shuffle things if the schedule's tight."

What an agent can do

Everything you can do in the coach panel, by asking for it.

Anything you'd normally click through in the coach panel, the agent can do from a sentence. It looks at where your athletes are before it changes anything, and works with your login, so it never sees or touches more than you would.

Review

Ask who needs attention, pull up an athlete's week, or open a completed session with its Strava splits and prescribed-versus-logged sets. The agent reads the same data you would, without clearing your unread badges.

"Who has unread messages from me older than three days?"

Plan

Describe a 12-week build and let it draft the run and strength templates, assemble them into a programme day by day, and hand it to an athlete with a start date.

"Build an 8-week half-marathon block: three runs a week, one strength day, long run on Sundays."

Schedule

Put a template on a calendar, move a session, mark a run complete with feedback, or log a strength session on behalf of an athlete who told you their numbers in person.

"Move all of Jonah's sessions next week back a day. He's racing Saturday."

Communicate

Read a conversation before replying, send a message as you, invite a new athlete onto a package, create a wellness check-in or post an event to every athlete's calendar.

"Create a monthly wellness survey with sleep, stress and soreness questions and send it to everyone on the Marathon package."

Built-in workflow

The weekly review, already written.

The server ships a weekly-client-review prompt. Point it at an athlete and it walks the agent through their week — what was planned, what got done, how it felt, what they said in chat — and ends with a draft check-in for you to approve.

Skipped Thursday's tempo. Sunday's long run came in 40 s/km slower than target with heart rate high throughout. Survey on Friday: sleep 2/5, soreness 4/5. No messages since Monday.

Draft check-in
"Solid week overall, Priya. That long run looked like hard work — the sleep score suggests you were running on empty. Let's make Thursday an easy 30 min and see how you feel by the weekend."

Connect

One link, one sign-in, done.

Verve is a standard remote MCP server with OAuth sign-in. Your assistant finds everything it needs from the URL, so there is nothing to install and no keys to paste.

1

Add Verve to your assistant

In Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, add a connector or MCP server and give it this address. In Claude Code it's one command.

https://verve.coach/mcp/coach
claude mcp add --transport http verve-coach \
  https://verve.coach/mcp/coach
2

Sign in and approve

A browser window opens on Verve. Sign in with your coach account if you aren't already, check what the assistant will be able to do, and press Connect. That's the only time you'll be asked.

Ask

The agent arrives knowing how Verve fits together — athletes, templates, programmes, scheduled sessions — so you can talk about your athletes, not about the API.

Give me an overview of where everyone is.
What did Sam do this week?
Schedule the "Hill Repeats" run for Priya on Thursday.

Everything you connect is listed under Connected apps on your My Profile page, where one click disconnects it.

Questions

Good to know

Which assistants work with it?

Any client that supports MCP over Streamable HTTP with a custom header: Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Cursor, and most agent frameworks. If it can add a remote MCP server with a bearer token, it can talk to Verve.

Does it cost extra?

No. The MCP server is part of your Verve plan. Without an active subscription the agent can read everything but not make changes.

Can my athletes use it?

No. The server is coach-only by design. Athletes' tokens are rejected, and there's no athlete-facing MCP surface.

What can the agent see?

Exactly what you can see in the coach panel. It runs as you, with your permissions.

Will it message my athletes without asking?

It's instructed not to. Tools that reach a person are marked as such, and the built-in prompts end with a draft for you to approve. As with any agent, the client you use decides how much autonomy it gets — most ask before every tool call by default.

How do I cut it off?

Open Connected apps on your My Profile page and disconnect it. Access ends immediately, and it would have to be approved again to reconnect.

Bring your assistant. We'll bring the athletes.

Every Verve plan includes the MCP server. Start a trial, grab a token, and ask it how your athletes are doing.
