Package change rules

A quick reference for what happens to billing when you move a client between packages.

Change	Billing effect	Client status
Paid → paid	Price swaps at the next renewal. No charge today, no proration.	Active
Paid → free	Stripe subscription cancelled immediately.	Active (free)
Free → paid	Client emailed a checkout link. Charged when they complete it.	Awaiting payment until paid
Free → free	None.	Active
